About - Yog Psychology Foundation

Yog Psychology Foundation (YPF)

We all know the great transformational benefits of yoga practice, because we continually witness them in both our students and in ourselves.

Yoga elaborates on the functioning of our mind, our thought processes, and the various techniques to change our perceptions and thus minimise our dis-ease, both short-term and long-term. This is called the Psycho-Somatic Approach.

The objective of Yog Psychology Foundation (YPF), is to offer the Psycho-Somatic Approach that aims to work through the mind, to have an effect on both: psychological conditions and medical health conditions. Hence our core offerings are under the scope of Yoga Psychotherapy.

This approach is based on the integration of mainstream Psychology with ancient Indian wisdom, especially the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali. The various modules have been designed solely as a therapeutic approach to symptoms or conditions.

The aim is to channelise the entire Yoga system as an effective therapeutic method for mitigation of Stressors and Lifestyle Imbalances that is geared not only in achieving good health, at a physical, but also mental, familial and social levels; thus, establishing it as a major adjunct therapy module in hospitals and medical clinics.
